To me this whakatauki means to me that I’ll bring a basket of something and you bring a basket of something then we will all be well together. I think this can refer to the mahi and the combination of resources and knowledge we have to get ahead. I think this proverb can be very useful to people when talking at the marae. ‘With my matauranga and Gerry’s knowledge we can get the project or whatever we are working on and be successful together.

To me I think that this whakatauki means: Some people in one of the houses are healthy and well being so that they are alright and the other people in the other  house is not doing well like for example they might be sick or not well. For me I know that if I get stuck on something I can get help. Therefore I will achieve excellence at my house by always getting support and help when I am stuck.
